How To Wear Foundation During Summer

Hey everyone! =)

I'm here with an article with a very topical topic. (topical topic, that sounds so weird :D:D)

There are two problems that can occur when you use your foundation. You bought it in winter and you're using the same one in summer or you bought it in summer and you're using the same in winter.
Oh, and this problem applies only if you tan, or if you don't wear high SPF during summer. (Because sun can make you darker only just by walking around the city)

So why is that a problem? Since your skin gets darker in the summer, when you put on foundation that you used in the winter, your skin is going to look too pale and like a mask. You need to think about this stuff when the seasons change, as your skin changes.

It wasn't once that I saw a girl with a tan and a pale foundation face. I know it's hard to have two different colored foundations and tell yourself - okay today is the day I need the darker one - because sun makes you browner gradually. My advice is to mix them according to your needs.

Another option is bronzer. If you know how to do it, you can still work with your lighter foundation but bronzing can go very wrong if you're a beginner (practice makes perfect!) because you don't want dark brown streaks on your face. However, this can be a little time consuming because you need to spend a lot of time on blending. But there's another way, you can use a paler foundation and use a powder that's a little darker from the one you would use before. There's a lot of ways how you can play around with it, just find a way that's the best for you.

Also, just because you went to the beach or a lake to get a little tan, that doesn't necessarily mean that you're ready for a darker tone foundation because then your face may look darker than the rest of your body which is also not a very nice look.

But my biggest advice is not to wear full-face of foundation. During the hot days it can feel heavy on your skin, causing it to swear more. If you can, try finding a BB cream or a tinted moisturizer or try using only concealer because they feel a lot lighter on your skin. The important thing is to find something that you'll be comfortable with.

And the last and probably the most important thing - DO NOT forget about SPF =) I've heard that you should wear at least SPF 30 during summer. I'm a little nuts (according to almost everyone :D) and I don't want to get tan at all so I use SPF 50. I'll make a separate article about sunscreens and stuff like that in a few days so this is only a reminder that just because you don't sit on the beach, sun can't get to you or can't burn you.

Hope this article helped you, if you're used to wearing foundation in the summer, this is just something you need to think about so your flawless face doesn't look like a mask =)

Oh and I'm currently sick :/ so I can't film or record voiceovers, so no videos from me for a while :( (at least till the end of this week).
Have a lovely evening =)
Lena
